The trailer for “extremely independent” Irish psychological thriller The Nightmare of My Choice is out.
I’ve watched it through twice, and I’m no clearer as to what is going on. Quick… to the press release!
The darkly comic-tinged neo-noir finds sweet-talking but penniless mystery man Alan Ball and his put-upon servant Flukes desperately clinging to all they have left: the house they live in, which Ball inherited from his murdered wife. As Christmas looms and looks increasingly miserable, unwelcome figures from Ball’s past reemerge with suspicious timing, plunging Ball into paranoia and upsetting the strenuous juggling act that his existence… his existences… have become.
In fairness, The Nightmare of My Choice was produced for an impressive €8k. My car is worth more than that (I’m kidding – my car isn’t worth anywhere near that).
The Nightmare of My Choice is released December 2016.
